    Skunks are a vital part of mother nature, these wonderful, stinky, cute, black and white Kitty's eat insects, and help control our rodent populations, but the down side to these Stink Bombs is that they also prey on chickens, the occasional rabbit, eat your produce (i.e. fruits, and vegetables, damage beehives, dig under our houses, sheds, Jacuzzis etc.) The best attribute of a skunk is that they also eat spiders...

    The striped skunk such as the one in the above picture (Taken by one of our Techs.) is characterized by prominent, lateral white stripes that run down its back. Its fur is otherwise jet black. Striped skunks are the most abundant of the four species. The body of the striped skunk is about the size of an ordinary house cat (up to 29 inches [74 cm] long and weighing about 8 pounds [3.6 kg] ).

    Los Angeles California - The crawlspace under the house was hot as hell. The stripped skunk that had sprayed me hours earlier still lingered on my clothes. Even though no other wildlife trapping company was able to trap this young juvenile striped Skunk. We knew that our wildlife trapping team could. The landscape was all but destroyed by the skunk family. But, the trapping team from speedy animal control was young and full of piss and vinegar. Although most of the trappers were young, this wild animal control company was not. The Animal removal guy and his team set forth with their wildlife trapping partners and their mentors who had years of wildlife trapping experience. Rusty, the old man had enough of being sprayed by Striped skunks, so he rounded up his team and ventured forth into the under part of the mobile home. With him the Animal Trapper brought his traps. Down they went and began setting up the small animal traps.  Late that evening, the earnest young trapper received a call. It was the trap report; whew...the lady stated that animal had been caught in the trap. This is how we found out about whether or not she needed animal removal from the house in LA in the morning. She said it was the animal traps that had been set underneath the house that got sprung. The adult skunk that got caught in the trap was definitely not happy. The next morning the critter trapper showed up to remove that animal before the black and white striped skunk had a chance to escape. In fact, all of our Animal Control Trappers are licensed by California and the Department of Fish and Game Wildlife Division. It was very likely that a whole Striped Skunk family  was living under her house.  That night, the young trapper reflected on how many animals he had set traps for that day. His only wish was that he could trap that smelly skunk before the morning came.  The next morning the LA skunk trapper had a breakfast date with his Beverly Hill's animal capture mate. It was then, that he noticed his wild animal mating season would be cut short, as again, the young skunk that was trapped in the cage, brought his six shooters to the fight. So, the old man approached the cage ever so slowly with the blanket over his head. He knew that he would have to use his critter trapping skills to not get skunk odor all over his clothes or his pet. Using is Jedi trapping skills to not get sprayed by this young buck of a skunk. Trapper Scotty dodged the spray as the young animal began to release his essence. The Capture was complete. The male Striped Skunk still had his six guns, but was unable to use them. Rendered useless they were. Leaving the area, the old lady from Pasadena bowed and blessed leaving him, she was so thankful that the California had people like us, people who weren’t afraid to put skunks in a cage.  Still hungry from the breakfast that was not, we headed off to the local wildlife preserve to relocate Johnny stinky pants skunk.

    Some people classify the Striped Skunk as dangerous, however, we here at Speedy Animal Control are thankful to the trappers who came before us and passed down the knowledge of trapping skunks.  Information about animal control within Los Angeles, California.
